About our Services

If you’re new and have some questions about us, here are some questions (and answers) that will help you out:

Worship Times

Our worship time is at 10:00 a.m. on Sunday mornings. We welcome everyone to come and join us for worship every Sunday. We have open communion on the 1st Sunday of the month.  All who have welcomed Jesus into their heart are welcomed to participate with us.

Sunday school for all ages is at 9:00. All kids are invited to come to our Sunday school classes and all adults are invited to come to our adult Sunday School.  (nursery care available)

We know that people have many questions and even concerns when attending a new church. Below, we have tried to give you a little bit of information about what you can expect on a Sunday service with us at First Community Church. Please contact Pastor Steve if you have any further questions about our church.

What’s a service like?

Our services (for the most part) follow semi-traditional format.  Bible based services.

What’s the music like?

We are a mix of old and new, traditional and contemporary. We do not operate on a set schedule but we do alternate between traditional hymns and a contemporary worship lead by the praise team.  The traditional hymns are accompanied by the organ and piano.  Our contemporary praise band is a team of vocalists, drummers and keyboardist.

How do people dress?

There is no “dress code”, come as you are.  You will find people in suits and you will find people in jeans. We encourage you to come as you are and dress however you are comfortable.  Pastor Steve from Memorial Day to Labor Day embraces Hawaiian type shirts himself.

What about my kids?

Children are welcome to sit with their parents during the service.  We realize that there are times when children struggle sitting through a worship service. For those instances, we do have a nursery at our church, that has a spear to hear the sermon.  There is a TV in the fellowship hall that shows a live feed of the service as well.

Can I take communion?

If you have received Jesus into your heart you are welcome to our table.
